Women in Computer Science Club at Boston University is designed to encourage women to participate fully in Computer Science by providing a supportive community, informing members about national computing events, drawing a focus on women in technology, offering mentorship via study groups, social activities, networking opportunities and professional events.

Zora will be graduating May of 2022. She is passionate about the intersection of tech and social impact and research in AI fairness and misinformation. She has consulted non-profits for data analytics, researched on anomaly detection for particle physics, and organized summits for Impact Labs. On campus she TA for CS theory courses, organize arts events via BU Arts Initiative, and contribute to the Off the Cuff magazine. Julie will be graduating May of 2023. She is a licensed TEDx organizer / former speaker and is passionate about creating platforms for everyone to share and innovative ideas, skills and talents. Shimli will be graduating in May of 2023 with a major in computer science. She was born in India but grew up in South East Asia (Vietnam and Indonesia). In her free time, she enjoys learning new languages and reading novels. Her email address is shimli [at] bu.edu.
Aliya will be graduating May of 2023. She is from the beautiful city of Almaty, in Kazakhstan. Having started her journey at BU as a Biomedical Engineer, she switched to a combined major in Computer Science and Statistics in her sophomore year while minoring in Business Administration and Management. Her interests range from social innovation and entrepreneurship to software engineering and robotics. On campus, she is a Program Manager in Community Service Center and MET IT Help Desk Technician. Also, she serves as Vice President at BU FinTech and Academic Ambassador in CAS Student Government, as well as BU Hack4Impact.
